GST
To those who attended our GST Seminars, a big Thanks for your support. We hope you found these beneficial and they made sense of some of the more confusing aspects of the GST changes that will come into effect.
In particular a huge Thank You to Andre & Leoni & their team at McDonalds Paraparaumu for hosting our breakfast. Headed by Christine they looked after us very well, serving up lovely coffee to get us all going first thing in the morning.
The feedback from most of you is that you realise the process will be a fairly logical one and once you receive your GST forms from the IRD things will make a lot more sense when completing your calculations.

MYOB CHANGES
Clients who use MYOB Accounting Software will need to log on to
www.myob.co.nz/taxchanges. With the exception of new MYOB versions you will need to purchase an upgrade of MYOB software. When logging on to the MYOB website you will need to enter the serial number of your software (there are instructions there on obtaining this). Once you've entered the serial number you will receive information on the software package you need to upgrade to and the cost. All of this is done through MYOB, who will guide you through the process of changeover. Don't delay as this is something you need to get on to now.
ACTIVE TEAM CHANGES
Over the last month or so we've had a few changes in our Active Team. Anthony has joined the Audit Department of the IRD, so is now able to add another facet of accounting to his expertise. Dave has moved on and Colleen has taken the opportunity of full time employment.
We have Bin Liu who has joined the Active team as an Accountant, so we look forward to having her with us. We are also in the process of working through an appointment of another Accountant, so will let you know when we have finalised this.
