Most of the Active Team have had holidays over the Summer break and are now back at work for a new year.
We trust you were able to enjoy the beautiful sunshine we had over the Christmas, New Year period. For those of us who stayed home over the break, we felt especially lucky to live on the Kapiti Coast - the weather certainly made for an enjoyable time.
For clients who we've been chasing up for your 2010 financial information, you will be hearing from the team as they commence work, once we receive your records. It is important your Income Tax Returns get filed with the Inland Revenue Department by the due date, in order to prevent penalties being incurred by yourselves. We do require time to process your information and any queries we may have with you, so please get this to us as soon as possible.
2011 is bringing some exciting changes in the Active team. Many of you will be aware John and Sue have been studying for some time. John is in the third and final year of his MBA with Victoria University. With the intense study programme and running a full time business, the end of October is going to bring a welcome respite from this busy schedule. Sue has been studying Psychology extramurally through Massey University for the last two years. With much excitement and a little apprehension, she is now heading to Victoria University as a full time student to complete double degrees in Law and Criminology. Sue currently works part time in the Wellington District Courts as a Judicial Justice and is keen to further her interest in this work moving forward.
We have for some time been training Stefanie Jones, a Graduate Accountant, to take on some of Sue's work. The remainder of Sue's processing and Administration role of Office Manager is going to be done by Shelley Shaw. Shelley is the wife of our Associate, Ben Shaw, and is very excited about continuing the work Sue has done for the practice. Shelley shares Sue's passion for systems and organisation and will fit in well with the Active team. Sue commences University at the end of February, but will still be available in an advisory capacity should Shelley need any assistance.
